Obituary

Judith Ann (Whitehead) Hill 77, of Salem, died at 7:20 am on Monday, March 11 at the Salem Regional Medical Center.

She was born on April 18, 1941 in Salem, the daughter of the late Nelson Webber and Edith (Eels) Whitehead.

She formerly worked at the chicken factory in Columbiana, then at Jamie's, where she worked at the salad bar, and finally Giant Eagle, where she worked at the salad bar/deli. Judith was a former president of the Leetonia Eagles. She was involved with the Presbyterian Church of Leetonia. She enjoyed growing flowers and plants, both inside and especially roses outside. Some of her hobbies were, camping, bowling, coloring, and canning. Judith loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, especially at holiday dinner. She formerly lived on a farm and enjoyed raising animals and chickens.

She is survived by her children, Billie Ann Cross of Salem, Ben Clarkson of Leetonia, Bobbie Jo Derby of Lisbon, Tom Clarkson of Salem, Sally (Tom) Wiles of Salem, eight grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, her brother, Nelson (Kathy) Whitehead of Deerfield, her companion, Paul Schultz and her beloved dog Pepper.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her step-father, Herbert Whitehead, an infant brother, William Ernest Whitehead and one grandchild.
