Julian " Jay " Arthur Hodges Jr., 58, died peacefully at his home while resting in a chair. He was born on February 26, 1956 in Ronceverte, W.Va., the son of the late Julian A. Hodges Sr and Carrie Earnestine (Shelton) Hodges. Jay has worked at University of Kentucky, Comp Care, and the VA Hospital in Lexington, Ky. He was a social worker/chrisis intervention worker in a chrisis call center. in addition to his mother of East Palestine, he is survived by three siblings, Shelia J.(W. Sherrill Jr.) Milliken of East Palestine, Ronald W. (Donna) Hodges of Lawrenceburg, Ky., and Larry A. Hodges of East Palestine. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Sue Clark. There will be no services held per the request of the family. The family wishes to thank all the friends and neighbors who have been there to help, give a shoulder or words of encouragement.
