Karen Kay Kappler 61, of Salem, died at 7:28 PM Friday at Salem Regional Medical Center after taking ill at her home. She was born in Salem, Ohio on January 21, 1955, the daughter of the late August and Flora (Bowie) Kappler. She was a Customer Service Rep. At Things Remembered in North Jackson and attended the Paradise Church. She enjoyed playing cards, attended a singles group and was in a former bowling league. She is survived by her brothers Kenneth Keith Kappler of New Springfield and Robert August (Pamela) Kappler of N. Lima. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, February 21, 2016, at 3 PM at the Paradise Church (New Buffalo road and Calla road, Canfield). A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the services. The Pastor David Perry will be officiating the services.
