Obituary

Kenneth Howard Lotze 74 of Washingtonville, passed away at Blossom Nursing and Rehab Center at 9:30 pm on Saturday, March 18, 2017. He was born on December 5,1942 in Cleveland, OH, the son of the late August Wayne and Helen Dora (Libert) Lotze. Kenneth formally worked at Clark Pulley as a machinist. Kenneth was very active and loved spending time outdoors. He enjoyed his country music and going to the former Ponderossa Park. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, biking on bicycle trails and boat rides. He was a volunteer fireman for the Washingtonville Fire Department for 24 years until it closed in 1999. He formally served with Unity VFD and Green Township. He was a former member of the Leetonia Eagles. He also enjoyed eating out. Kenneth is survived by his wife, the former Barbara Jo Stoffer, whom he married on July 19,1969, his children, Patty (Mark) Congo of E Liverpool, David (Amanda) Lotze of Salem, Lori (William) Marshall of Salem, his grandchildren, Paris Lotze, Dallas (Jesse) Lotze-Basham, Cheyenne Lotze, Jordan (Taylor) McGath, Amber (Donald) McGath, Burton Thorpe Jr., Noah Marshall, Angie Davenport, Dylan and Lizzy Newhouse, Seth Hardy, Corey Snay, and his great-grandchildren Abigail Smith, Christian Kelly, Zachary Davenport and Aaliah Nicole due on July 16. In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his son Scott Lotze, his sister Jackie Boydston, and his grandson Zach Snay. A celebration of life gathering will be held Saturday, April 8, from 2-6 pm at the Salem VFW. Arrangements by Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen and Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, Salem, OH.
