IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kenneth Evan
Steiginga
October 20, 1960 – August 8, 2025
Kenneth Evan Steiginga 64, of New Waterford, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2025, at Parkside Health Care Center of Columbiana, surrounded by the love of his family.
He was born on October 20, 1960, in Paterson, New Jersey, the beloved son of Henry Steiginga and the late Leanna (Eschenbach) Steiginga.
Ken is survived by his father, Henry, and his children; Tierney Steiginga of West Palm Beach, Florida, Corey (Christina) Steiginga of Youngstown, Britton Steiginga of Lisbon, Colette (Braxton) Mascher of Lisbon, and Tessa (Jeremy) Washburn of Columbus. He is also survived by his former wife and friend, Deirdre Steiginga of New Waterford, and his siblings Julie (James) Visbeen of North Haledon, New Jersey and Christopher Steiginga of Raleigh, North Carolina.
Ken also adored his seven grandchildren; Braelyn, son of Tierney, Jordan and Neiko, children of Corey, Kai and Julian, children of Britton, and Maxon and Brixley, children of Colette. Their laughter and smiles brought him endless happiness and his love for them will continue to live on in their hearts.
Ken will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He was also a skilled computer network engineer, a dedicated coach to his children in many sports, and a man whose kind disposition left a mark on everyone who knew him. As a lifelong die-hard New York Jets fan, he supported his team with unwavering loyalty through every season. His family's love for him is immeasurable, and while his absence leaves an ache that cannot be filled, his memory will remain a constant source of comfort and strength.
A private celebration of life will be held with close family and friends to honor Ken's memory and the beautiful legacy he leaves behind.
Arrangements were made by the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services of Salem.
