Obituary

Kevin Allen Viets 65, of Lisbon, died at the home of his brother on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at 3:53 AM.

He was born on September 9, 1960, in Youngstown, the son of the late Edwin Dudley and Camille Ann (née Shonts) Viets.

Kevin was a 1978 graduate of David Anderson High School then went on to Kent State University to further his education and knowledge. He was mostly employed in the health care industry with in home care. Kevin's desire to help others only came natural for that is what made him happy. The best time of year that Kevin enjoyed was Notre Dame (Fighting Irish!) football season. It was a time of year that he was able to root for his favorite team and tell others all about them. Kevin loved his family and spending time around all of them. When he was younger he attended the Lisbon First Christian Church and most recently the Lisbon Pilgrim Holiness Church.

He is survived by his siblings: Virginia Diane Viets, Thomas Edwin Viets, Donna Jean Viets, Sandra Leigh Viets-Becka, Shawn Eric (Christa) Viets all of Lisbon and Deborah Lynn (Perry) Burkholder of Virginia and Kimberly Ann (Christopher) Viets-Krawczyk of Norton.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Barbara Ann Viets, David Lynn Viets, Karen Maureen Viets, Patricia Ann Viets, Mary Elizabeth Viets, Jeffery Lee Viets, and Judith Ann Viets-Brletich.

He will be laid to rest with other family members in the Lisbon Cemetery.

The arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, Salem.
