Obituary

Larry Len (Crude) Callis, of Lisbon, passed away at Salem Regional Medical Center at 10:09 pm on Wednesday June 7, 2017. He was born on April 4, 1947, in Toledo, OH, the son of the late Leonard and Sylvia (Parkhurst) Callis and had four siblings, Ladonna, Tommy, Brian and Ted Callis. When he was living in Nashville, TN, he enlisted in the Marine Corp. He served honorably in Vietnam, where he received numerous medals including a three Purple Heart, and a presidential citation. He had many interests and worked in different jobs over the years. He was a Kensington police officer, a private detective, a gunsmith, worked in sales for Sears, and managed a print shop in Carollton. He also enjoyed dressing up and playing Santa Claus at Christmas time. He was a member of the Pagan Motorcycle Group and among other titles, was a former president of the Ohio chapter. Larry has two children Christopher and Regena Callis, and two grandchildren, Lena (Lily) and Ambrose.
