Obituary

"together again" Laura Mae (Feicht) Owen 91, (Ellsworth Center, Salem) A good and faithful servant, went home to be with her Lord and Savior at 11:10 PM Tuesday, September 30, 2014 from the Salem Regional Medical Center. Laura has been a lifetime resident of the area. She and her husband Mike were known for the grocery store and gas station on Salem-Warren Road for over 30 years. She was a very active person in the area and served on many organizations. A member of the Western Reserve (WR) Booster Club, WR PTO, Ellsworth Township Crime Watch, and a member of the Concord Church where she was a Deacon, officer and a member of the Presbyterian Women's Group. She was very active with the Moose Lodge and their functions, a card player at the Ala Carte Card Club. She and her husband would travel south to Webster, Fla. To vacation until 2004. She also served on the Sumpter County Community patrol. She was born on October 19, 1922 in Green Township, Mahoning County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Charles Monroe and Mable Margaret (Less) Feicht. She is survived by her loving children, Tom (Betsy) Owen of Salem, Dick (Lori) Owen Niles, Harry (Pat) Owen of Berlin Center, Mike (Brenda) Owen of Canfield, and Patti (Richard) Reed of Winter Garden, Fla., her loving grandchildren Richard Owen, Monica Wilson, Krysi Cappabianca, David and Scott Owen, Lindsay Robertson and Kelsey Owen, great grandchildren, Jack Cappabianca, Zachary and Nathan Wilson, Madison, Kayla, Kylee, Hunter and Gracee Owen, and an adopted mother to many others in the area. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death on December 6, 2008 by her husband Mike (Levern Fremont) Owen whom she married on October 19, 1942, her sisters, Helen Fishel, Evelyn Kessel, Marie Atkinson and Edith Kappler. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, 12 Noon at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, Salem. The Rev. Joyce Reynolds of the church will officiate. The burial will immediately follow at Hope Cemetery in Salem. A time of Visitation will be on Friday from 4 PM-6 PM and Saturday from 10 AM-12 PM.
