Laurie Ann (Henderson) Thomas 73, of Poland (Formerly of Sebring) died at 3:13 PM Friday, January 17, 2025, at her home.

She was born on September 18, 1951, in Alliance, Ohio, the daughter of Harry and Neva (Crewson) Henderson.

She taught first through Third grades at B. L. Miller Grade School in Sebring and a professor of Early Childhood Education at Mount Union College and Kent State University in Salem.

A 1970 Graduate of Sebring High School, she earned her BA at Mount Union College and her Masters at Kent State University. She enjoyed the outdoors playing golf, fishing, and a runner. Her quiet time was spent reading and working on word puzzles. She adored the time spent with the grandchildren as all grandmothers do.

She is survived by her husband, Paul A. Thomas whom she married in 1975, her children: Sean P. (Lindsay) Thomas of Poland and Lindsay (Vince) Kehres of Sylvania and six grandchildren; Evan, Bo, Jackson, Aidyn, Allison, and Alexander, siblings: Jan (Susan) Henderson and Sharie Henderson both of Sebring.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings: Kim and Neil Henderson.

There will be no services held at this time.
