Lelia N (Shade) Mitchell 76, of Salem, passed away at her home on June 1, 2017. She was born on November 26, 1940, in Salem, the daughter of the late Lee and Dorothy Mae (Davis) Shade. Lelia graduated from Leetonia High School and was member of the Realife Church of Salem. She was a talented seamstress. She loved music, was a former treasurer of the Salem Music Club and a current member of the KSU choir. Lelia was the secretary for the Canfield AARP. She was one that always kept very busy. Lelia was very talented at making crafts and selling them. She and her son would travel hours away to craft shows. She was a very loving and giving person that will be missed by many. She is survived by her loving children, Jennifer Lee Mitchell of Salem, Jonathan Edward (Cynthia) Mitchell of East Rochester, two precious grandsons, Cody and Wade Mitchell, her sisters, Norma Canfield of FL, and Carol Lozier of Alliance. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death on January 18, 1996, by her husband, Edward E Mitchell, who she married on June 18,1961.
