Lewis E. Beachler 80, of Salem, died at 9:00 PM Thursday, March 28, 2013 at home with his family at his side. He was born December 15, 1932 in Flemington, West Virginia, a son of the late Joseph C. and Julia E. (Thompson) Beachler. He was retired from Eljer in 1995 where he worked for 40 years in the enameling room. He loved to be outside and taking care of his yard. He enjoyed golf and he was a pilot. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, the former Beverly E. Hendricks whom he married on February 7, 1958, a son Curtis A. Beachler of Salem, a daughter Lori A. Denmon of Massillon, a brother Joseph (Barbara) Beachler of Lisbon, and a sister Juanita. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Dale Beachler. A family gathering at the home place will be held at a later date.
