Lila June (Libert) Smith 80, of Salem, formerly of Leetonia, passed away at 4:50 am on Sunday, October 21 at Salem East Healthcare.

She was born on January 16, 1938, the daughter of the late John and Catherine Libert. Lila worked at Aldmon's dinner and Howard Johnson in North Lima before retiring. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, baking and make hardtack candy. She is survived by her son, John (Cherie) Smith of Salem, her grandchildren, Rebecca (Mike) Brooks of Alliance, Lisa Timmann of Salem, her great-grandchildren, Cole Sprouse, Kali Timmann, Sidney and Maguire Fullum, and numerous adopted siblings. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William Albert Smith, whom she married on August 24, 1965 and who passed away in 2015, and her siblings, Mary Gaiger, Patty Kutfleitner, and Raymond Libert.
