IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lisa Arlene
(Thrasher) Thompson
February 24, 1963 – January 31, 2026
Lisa Arlene Thompson, of East Liverpool, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all living things, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2026, at 12:47 PM under the gentle care of Continuing Healthcare of Boardman. She was 62 years old. Born on February 24, 1963, in East Liverpool, Ohio, to Cecil Thrasher and Audrey (Farnsworth) Mercer , Lisa spent her life cultivating a legacy of warmth, laughter, and unconditional love within the community she called home.
As a dedicated homemaker, Lisa found her true calling within the sanctuary of her own walls. She was a woman who held onto life's memories with great intensity, creating a home that was a private vault of her life's work and collections. She preferred the intimacy of family gatherings held out in the community or at the homes of her loved ones, keeping her own residence as a quiet, personal retreat. Her nurturing spirit was most vibrantly seen in the devoted, specialized care she provided to her son, Clayton, and in the "fur babies" she took in. From raccoons to bunnies, Lisa's home was a closed-door haven where every creature and every item had a story known only to her.
Outside of her private world, Lisa was a vibrant soul who embraced the outdoors. She was a gifted gardener who found peace among her vegetables and flowers, and she delighted in the freedom of summer days spent fishing and swimming. Whether she was walking through the woods, enjoying the nostalgia of Kennywood, or cheering on a WWE match, Lisa lived with a spirited enthusiasm. She also had a refined side, relishing the chance to visit upscale restaurants for fancy meals, though she was always happiest when surrounded by her family at a shared dinner table.
She was preceded in death by her father, Cecil Thrasher; her spouse, Woodrow Lawrence Thompson Jr.; and her step-son, Woodrow Thompson III. Her legacy is carried forward by her mother, Audrey Mercer, and step-father, Dale Mercer; her children, Brandy Cotton and Clayton Thompson; her step-daughter, Sarah Thompson; and her step-son, Charles (Denise) Blackman. Lisa's spirit will also live on through her nine cherished grandchildren: Reese, Braelyn, Jeremy, Brandon, Christopher, Alana, Alara, Katalina, Jordan and Zachary, as well as her five precious great-grandchildren. Together, they will remember her as a woman who protected her world and loved her family with all she had.
