Loretta (Morrison) Young 77, of Salem, formerly of Michigan, died at 7:30 PM Thursday at Salem Regional Medical Center. She was born on November 18, 1937 in Beloit, Ohio, the daughter of the late Lloyd D. and Iva Virginia (Campbell) Morrison. She was last employed as a security officer in Michigan, March, 2000. She was a member of the Salem First Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Leeann Cowan Higgins and grandson Christopher Cowan both of White Pines, Tenn., siblings, Jean Rogenski of Mineral Ridge, Priscilla Marmagin of Austintown, Lloyd (Claire) Morrison of Ft. Myers, Fla., Laura Straub, Linda Skidmore and Garry L. Morrison all of Salem, sister-in-law Mrs. Larue (the late Herb) Morrison of Salem. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry and Herb Morrison and an infant sister Evelyn Morrison. Services will be held on Monday, 7 Pm at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, Salem. The Rev. Claye Folger will be officiating the services. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the services. The burial will be in Hope Cemetery. The family has requested that memorial contributions be made in Loretta's memory at the Salem First Baptist Church 1290 East State Street, Salem, Ohio 44460.
