Lucy Ann (McElfresh) Turney 80, of Salem, died March 30 in the Emergency room of Salem Regional Medical Center. She was born on March 24, 1935 in Stanington, Ill., the daughter of the late Arley and Blanche (Kinon) McElfresh. She had been previously employed at Warren Molded Plastics and the Steel Trolley Diner. She is survived by her children, Kathy M. (Marion) Williams of Leetonia, John Bush of Florida and Tammy Lynn Turney of Lisbon, step children, Denny Bell Turney of Salem, Tracy Turney, Tammy Turney, Tonie Turney, Troy Turney, Terry Turney and Timmy Turney all of New Castle, Pa., Steven Turney of Calif., siblings, David (Mary Ann) McElfresh of South Carolina, Melvin (Rose Marie) McElfresh of Texas, Mildred Stewart of Salem, and Ruth Johnson of Indiana, five grandchildren, Angie Standish, Patricia Roberts, Alisha Williams, Christopher Williams and Nicole Guy and numerous step grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, Isaiah and Joseph Roberts, Caleb and Natalie Falcon, Marinda Mulch, and Hailey and Gavin Guy, and numerous great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, George Turney, step son Todd Turney, sister Esther Roller. Services will be on Friday, April 3, at 1:30 PM at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, Salem. The Rev Joe Sheely will be officiating the services and burial in Grandview Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the services.
