M. Jane (Fitzpatrick) Secrest, 81, of Salem, died at 2:32 PM Monday at Salem Regional Medical Center. She was born December 3, 1933 in Salem, a daughter of the late Edwin R. and Carrie Mae (Sanders) Fitzpatrick. Jane was married March 12, 1952 to Harold "Zeke" Secrest who preceded her in death on March 20, 1987. She was retired from Salem Community Hospital after 14 years service in the house-keeping department. She had previously been employed at the Salem News and Lyle Printing. She had attended services at the Damascus Friends Church. She enjoyed gardening, get togethers with her sisters, spending time with family, puzzles, country music, and birds. (especially red birds) She is survived by two sons Tom (Doreen) Secrest of Youngstown and Timothy Secrest of Boardman, and a daughter Amy (Dan) Bailey of Salem. Also surviving are four sisters Jean Keefer and Joyce Fitzpatrick of Salem, June Rogers of Damascus, and Jerilyn Emig of Massillon, three grandchildren, Lindsay Secrest of Youngstown, Justin (Chalee) Secrest of Austintown, and Carter Bailey of Salem and one great-grandchild, Cade Thomas Secrest of Austintown. In addition to her parents and husband, Jane was preceded in death by two brothers Joseph and James Fitzpatrick. Services will be held at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen and Sons Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Friday at 1 PM with Pastor Rick Brendlinger officiating.
