Martha J. (McCauley) Means 85, of Salem, (Formerly of Wellsville) died at 1:50 AM Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Salem Regional Medical Center, Salem.

She was born on June 18, 1939, in Wellsville, the daughter of Clair and Rachel (Mobley) McCauley.

Martha was a 1957 graduate of Wellsville High School, later moved to the Salem area. She was the former co-owner/ book keeper of Salem Security Storage for 20 years in Salem.

Martha was always a busy person and on the go a lot. A former member of the Columbiana County Board for the Mentally Retarded and Developmentally Disabled, was actively involved and

attended the Special Olympics, a member of the Guilford Lake Ruritans, member of the Salem Community Center swimming Aerobics, a former team bowler at Hunt Club Lanes and member of the former Salem Square Wheels.

She is survived by her husband, James O. Means whom she married on August 25, 1958, children: Scott Means of Lisbon, Brent and Daniel Means of Salem, siblings Norma Sue (Chris) Wright of Effort, Pa. and Ronald (Barbara) McCauley of Pearland, Tx.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Alan McCauley.

Services will be on Saturday, January 4, 2025, 2 PM at Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, Salem. The Rev. Greg Pennington of the Lisbon Assembly of God Church will be officiating. The visitation time will be from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
