Michael Ray "Big Mike" Crouse 65, of Lisbon, formerly of the Salem area, died at 7:13 PM Monday, December 27, 2021, at Salem Regional Medical Center.

He was born on September 7, 1956 in Salem, the son of Ray E. and Ruth (Saltsman) Crouse.

Mike was very well known in and around the Salem area. A 1974 graduate of Salem Senior High School. He was a machinest and worked at Quaker Mfg., SES/ Alliance, EW Bliss and Hunt Valve as well as horse shoeing on area farms. There were many late afternoons and evenings that he was a bouncer at area establishments. He also was known in the area as a little league and girls soft baseball coach.

There was always a love of horses as he helped his father on the farm. Mike also loved to go hunting, fishing and playing cards. He was also apart of avid coffee drinkers that met at L&K Restaurant.

He is survived by his siblings Leslie Crouse of Salem, Timothy (Ann) Crouse of Miamisburg and Stacie (David) Crawford of Salem, and his niece, 4 nephews, 4 great nephews, and 4 great nieces that were like his own children.

There will be no services or viewing held. He will be buried at Mount Union Cemetery in Alliance.
