He was born on January 1, 1947 in Salem, the son of the late Charles W. and Norma (McDonald) Walpert. He was a 1966 Graduate of Salem High School, served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was catholic by faith and had attended St. Paul's Catholic Church. He taught archery and helped wrenching on cars at Chet Paxson's. He is survived by a daughter and a sister, Mary Ellen Mayo of Salem. There will be no services to be held, burial was in Grandview Cemetery.
