IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Miriam Cheryl
(Coleman) Good
December 19, 1949 – January 9, 2024
Miriam Cheryl (Coleman) Good 74, of Salem, died at 10:30 PM Tuesday, January 9, 2024, Mercy Health/St. Elizabeth Hospital, Youngstown. We were blessed to have had her these eight bonus years after the original infection, but this infection was too much for her compromised body. We appreciate all her doctors here in Salem and also at Cleveland Clinic.
She was born on December 19, 1949, in Alliance, Ohio, the daughter of the late Ervin and Sara (Colville) Coleman.
Miriam attended high school at West Branch, graduating in 1968 and then received her teaching degree from the Ohio State University. She started her career as a lifeguard at Western Reserve Lake and then finished her career as a Home Economics Teacher at West Branch and then Sebring.
Miriam was a past president of the Columbiana County Association of Family & Consumer Science. She was the director at Schoolhouse Stitchers and involved in various committees with United Quilt Guild. She is also on the reunion committee for her 1968 class at West Branch.
Miriam volunteered every year at the Canfield Fair in the information booth located near the cow barns. She worked there for around 20 years and took the job very seriously. She also did local judging of arts and crafts.
Because Miriam put her whole heart and soul into everything she did, she had many valued friendships in all these circles and made lasting impressions. She was one of a kind, wonderful, special person. She was sweet, funny, and always smiling. She was also a fierce fighter.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, John L. Good, whom she married on July 8, 1972, her children; Kimberly (Keith) Williams of Greenford and Benjamin (Monica) Good of Hanoverton, grandchildren; Reagan Good, Keith Williams Jr., Karson Williams and Charley Good, siblings; Stuart (Jeanne) Coleman of Montana and Nelson (Judy) Coleman of Chillicothe and a Brother-in-law, Press Kale of California.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Janet Kale.
A Celebration of Life Service will be on Saturday, January 13, 2024, 3 PM at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, Salem. The Pastor Kari Lankford will be officiating. The burial will be in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio. A time of viewing (to celebrate and remember) will be from noon to 3 PM on Saturday.
