It is with deep love and cherished memories that we announce the passing of Nancy Mae (Chidester) Brink, who departed from this life on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at Salem Regional Medical Center. Born on April 8, 1950, in Salem, Ohio, she was the beloved daughter of the late Jesse Jerald and Helen Ruth (Nannah) Chidester.

Nancy graduated from Beaver Local High School in 1968 and went on to build a dedicated career at the Blackhawk Plastics plant, where she worked for 32 years before her well-deserved retirement in 2004. On February 13, 1987, Nancy married her soulmate, Steven Lee Brink. As a devoted housewife and homemaker, she took immense pride in caring for her home and her husband, creating a warm and loving sanctuary. Her unwavering faith and dedication to her community were central to her life, and she was an attendee of the Connecting Life Church in Columbiana.

Nancy leaves behind her loving husband of 39 years, Steven Lee Brink, who will miss her gentle spirit and devotion. She is also survived by her siblings, Joseph (Ruth) Chidester of Empire, Ohio, Dora Jarvis of Salineville, Ohio, Martha Fleming of Utah, and Linda (John) Isenschmid of Lisbon, along with many extended family members and friends who will hold her memory close to their hearts. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Jesse “Pepper” Chidester, Mary Nicholson, Helen Clark, Darlene Knarr, Carolyn Dauwe, and David Chidester, as well as her infant siblings, Dean Chidester and Deborah Chidester, who all welcomed her into the next life.

A celebration of Nancy's beautiful life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services of Salem with Pastor Mike Hileman and Austin Young officiating the service. Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
