Nellie Vianna (Young) Houdyshell 80, of Salem, died upon arrival in the emergency room of Salem Regional Medical Center at 1:51 PM Wednesday, January 23, 2019.

She was born on August 11, 1938, in East Liverpool, OH, the daughter of the late James H and Idoma (Smith) Young.

She enjoyed reading. She was a giving and friendly woman who had many friends. One of her favorite things was spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, James Eugene Houdyshell of Salem, her children; Jack Donnalley of Beloit, Tim (DeeDee) Donnalley of Beloit, Robert (Gail) Donnalley of Salem, Diane (Todd) Stokes of Boardman, Jamie (Shane) Bagley of Salem, her grandchildren; James Carl Farmer Donnalley, Joshua Lynn Farmer Donnalley, Michelle Sweely, Mardee Bigham, Meridyth Sweely, David Wayne Donnalley Jr, Shawn Michael Donnalley, Robert Osborne Donnalley, Jody Elizabeth Mathey, Sarah Lea Mathey, Landon James Stokes, Shalynn Bagley, Jenna Bagley, Jessee Bagley, her great-grandchildren; Adlin, Harlie, Tyler, Joseph, Samantha, Christopher, Xander, Danika and Sylas.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert (Wally) Smith and her son, David Donnalley.
