Otis Maurice Castle Jr. 68, of Lisbon, died at 8:40 PM Wednesday, July 22 at Hospice House in Poland, Ohio. He was born on August 10, 1946 in Newark, Ohio, the son of the late Otis and Inez (Fowler) Castle Sr. He was last employed at Terry's Tire Town, and was a veteran of both the US Army and US Navy. He is survived by his wife, the former Darlene E. Thomas whom he married on June 19, 2004, his daughters, Charisa DeSalis of Pennsylvania, Brenda Castle of Texas, his step sons, James and Jeffery Castle of Alliance, and a step daughter, Shelby Thomas of Lisbon, fourteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren, a sister Brenda Holland and a half sister Peachy Varasso both of Heath, Ohio. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Peter Joseph Castle, a half brother, Thomas Johnson, two half sisters, Juanita Bishop and Shirley Foley. Services will be held on Saturday, August 1, at 11 AM at the Deerfield Evangelical Friends Church with the Pastor Jody Hill of the church officiating. The burial will take place in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio. The Salem Honor Guard will provide the military honors.
