Owen "Buckeye" Walter Rardon III 62, of Salem, died at 12:24 PM, May 23, 2016, at Salem Regional Medical Center. He was born on December 27, 1953 in Canton, Ohio, the son of the late Owen Walter "Red" Rardon II and Ruth Ellen (Kiel) Rardon, of Alliance and Marion, Ohio, respectively. He is survived by his sister, Mary Ellen (Terry) Dietsch of Van Wert, Oh., (Formerly of Marion) and their two children, his aunt and uncle Don and Barb Rardon of Hendersonville, NC, his childhood friend Roy Stroup of Salem, Oh., who continued to be his buddy even when life got tough, and Bryan Curry to whom Buckeye was a great friend. Owen was a 1972 graduate of Marion Harding High School. He loved to work on cars, fishing, and talking to friends. Owen was a truck driver for many years. His cinstant companion during those years was his dog, Penny, who rode in his truck cab and provided him with unconditional love. Owen was cremated, and there were no services held.
