Patricio Del Carmen Martinez Godoy, 75, of Youngstown died Sunday, April 28, 2024, at the Oasis Center for Rehabilitation & Healing in Youngstown, Ohio.

He was born May 24, 1948, in Valparaiso, Chile, son of Angel Custodio Martinez Yanez and Sofia Del Carmen Godoy Ahumada.

Patricio attended compulsory school in Chile and following was a member of the Chilean Military. He was a cobbler and made shoes in Chile, Switerland, and then in the United States.

He is survived by his children; Miriam Martinez Ramirez, Lorena Martinez Diaz, and Patricio Marinez Diaz all of Chile, Patricio Martinez Sanchez and Rebeca Martinez Sanchez of Spain, and Italo Bignens Martinez, Patricio Martinez Pena, Daisy Martinez Diaz, and Silvana Berisha all of Switzerland, his brother Raul Martinez Godoy of Switerland, and numerous acquaintances in Youngstown, Ohio that were like family to him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings; Juan, Italo, Angelica, Silvia, and Nelson.

Patricio will be buried in Quilpue, Chile.

Arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services of Salem.
