Patrick Michael Hilston 76, of Salem, passed away Thursday morning, 7:46 AM at the Salem Regional Medical Center.

He was born on June 5, 1948 in Youngstown, the son of the late Eugene Leonard and Ruth Cecila (Taylor) Hilston.

He grew up in the Girard area, formerly attended and Baptized at St Rose Catholic Church in Girard. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War from 1965 to 1969 and a member of the Salem AmVets.

He was preceded in death by his three brothers; Eugene Jr., Walt, and Theodore Hilston, nephews; Ronald and Teddy Hilston.

He is survived by his nieces and nephews: Sheila Braden, Shelly Kalna, Lori Cope, Billy, Jimmy, Cathy, Eugene, Raymond, Robin, and Ronald Hilston, and enjoyed spending time with his many great nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, 6 PM at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services. The Salem Honor Guard will be in charge of services and offer military honors. He will be laid to rest at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio.
