Paul Robert Lenigar 88, of Salem, Ohio (Butler Twp.) passed on Wednesday, January 1st, 2025, at Aultman Alliance Community Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born September 2, 1936, in Kensington, Ohio, the son of the late Charles and Neva (Carsey) Lenigar.

He graduated from Dellroy, where he loved to play sports and received a varsity letter in basketball. Paul enlisted in the US Army and became a cook in Korea. His love of sports and cooking was shared with his family, friends, and coworkers.  Paul would umpire countless games and often tell stories to his great granddaughter Gionna who shared his passion and love of sports.

Paul married the love of his life, Barbara, whom he married January 16, 1956. Together they raised four children and went on countless adventures as a family,

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife Barbara Lenigar, daughters; Cathy Joy and Barbara Lenigar, his son Michael (Lynn) Lenigar, son-in-law Steven Burnett, his grandchildren; Michael (Cenecia) Moore, Jenny (Jason) Clark, Roberta (Paul) Knopp, James Joy, Alison (Stacy) LaBarge, Patrick Burnett, Megan Lenigar, Chad (Rhonda) Hilliard, Wade (Billie Jo) Hilliard, and Mike (Lori) Hilliard, as well as several  great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death, by sister's Genevieve and June, his daughter Debbie Burnett and son-in-law James Joy.

A small family celebration of life will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank Dr.Cohen and his team for all of their wonderful care throughout the many years of Paul's life.
