Richard Lee Peterson  71, of Canfield, died Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at his home.

He was born November 4, 1950, in East Liverpool, Ohio, the son of Chester O. and Margaret (Hanlon) Peterson.

He was retired in 2016 as Vice-President of Tinker Federal Credit Union in Oklahoma.  He had attended Columbiana (Ohio) High School and went on to graduate from Kentucky Christian College and the University of Central Oklahoma where he earned various degrees and ended with a Master's Degree.  A member of the Columbiana First Christian Church and served during peacetime in the US Air Force.

He is survived by his children; Joseph Peterson of Austintown, Michelle (Eric McClish) Peterson of Canfield, and Stephanie (Timothy) Grace of New Castle, Pa., ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and his sister Sue Wiser of Portland, Ore.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Leona "Alice" Powell.
