Richard and Vivian, have been reunited forever Richard H. Tullis 86, of Salem, died at 6:45 PM Sunday at Woodlands at Hampton Woods in Poland, Ohio. He was born on December 5, 1929 in Lisbon, Ohio, the son of the late Carl Tullis and Isabel (McAndrew) Tullis Hunter. He was a lifetime area resident, and worked as a machinest/tool and die maker and owned Tullis Machine from 1981 until his retirement. A veteran of the US Air Force with the 31st. Maintenance Squad./fighter jets as a radio repairman. A member of the Tri-State Antique Auto Club, the farm bureau, a former member of the Perry Grange, Scout Master / leader of Boy Scout Pack 13, Leetonia Kiwanis Club and Leetonia Ruritan Club. A member of the St. Jacob's United Church of Christ and Leetonia American Legion. He is survived by his children, Larry (Diane) Tullis and Sherry (Dick) Huston both of Salem, Grandchildren, Mike (Steph) Huston, Matt (Bridget) Huston, Nathan (Mikayla) Huston, Nikki Huston, and Lance Tullis, Great Grandchildren, Madison and Brayden Huston, a sister Mona Hunter of Canfield, two brother-in-laws Robert Schuck and Don Bates and a sister-in-law Joan Tullis. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in Death by his loving wife, the former Vivian Bates on February 20, 2014, siblings Carl and William Tullis and Mary Lou Schuck. Services will be held on Saturday, 11 Am in the Chapel of Grandview Cemetery. The Rev. Fred Lamb will be officiating the services and the Salem Honor Guard will be providing the Military Honors. A time of visitation from 10:30 to 11 AM Saturday. Donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley 9803 Sharrott Road, Poland, Ohio 44514.
