A memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2013, 1 PM at St. Paul's Catholic Church for Ronald Lee Golunka 61 of Salem died 1:00 AM Friday March 1, 2013 at his home. The Father Stephen Wassie will officiate the services. There will be a time of visitation from 12:30 to 1 PM on Saturday at the church. There will be full military honors given at the close of the services. He was born on October 9, 1951 in Salem, the son of the late Thomas and Carrie (Murray) Golunka. He was a former Electronic Technician working in the coal industry out of Cleveland, Ohio. He was a Roman Catholic and attended the Salem St. Paul's School for eight years and attend the St. Paul's Catholic church. Ron served in the US Air Force, a former member of the Salem Amvets Post # 45. He loved to walk and do woodworking before he took ill. An avid reader and user of the computer. He is survived by his wife, the former Sandra Jayne (Emch) Golunka whom he married on August 3, 1973, siblings, Neil J. of Salem and Karen Sue (Husband James) Kusel of Palm City, Fla. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother Theodore Allen Golunka. The date and time of the visitation and services are pending. They will be announced when ready.
