Sandra Jean (Hawkins) Minett 70, of Salem, died Monday afternoon at her home.

She was born on May 24, 1943 in Salem, daughter of the late George Webb Hawkins and Mary Josephine (Hudson) Hawkins.

She was a Customer Service Representive with Columbia Gas Company. She had also worked at Lincoln Place Apartments as a leasing manager, pre-school at the Salem Presbyterian Church, a aide for the Head start program, and as a receptionist at Copeland Oaks. She was a former leader of the 4 H a 1961 Graduate of Salem High School, a member of the Salem First Christian Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and helped with the children.

In addition to her mother of Salem, she is survived by her husband, Ed Minett whom she married on June 10, 1966, their children, Matthew Edward (Rachele) Minett of Salem, Susanne Michelle (Michael) Searl of Cuyahoga Falls, and Mark Edward (Heather Heckman) Minett of Columbia, SC, siblings, carol Souders of Niles and Barbara Hawkins of Chippewa Lake, Chippewa, Ohio, and her grandchildren, Nicole and Michael Minett and Kendall and Kaleigh Bozick, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her father she is preceded in death by her sister Betty Jo Zehentbauer.

Services will be held on Saturday, 1:30 PM at the Salem First Christian Church with the Rev. Leonard Moore officiating.

A time of visitation will be held on Friday from 7-9 PM at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, Salem, and one hour prior to the services in the parlor.
