IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Scott Fitzgerald
Ward
August 4, 1964 – November 14, 2025
Scott Ward, 61, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2025, at Salem Regional Medical Center with his daughters, Cambrie and Krystal, lovingly by his side.
Scott was a quiet and gentle soul whose life was marked by kindness, faith, and humility. He had a deep love for Jesus and often joked that his Savior was "a hippie at heart." His warmth and generosity touched countless lives, whether through mission work, acts of service, or the simple, thoughtful ways he brought joy to others.
A devoted father and grandfather, Scott is lovingly remembered by his daughter Cambrie Ward and her husband Sean Price; and his grandchildren Aiden, Leo, Renly, Isaac, Indie, Elizabeth, and Easton, each of whom brought tremendous joy and light to his life. Though he loved all of them fiercely, his gentle affection for Isaac was unmistakable.
Scott especially cherished watching Harry Potter movies with his grandkids—moments filled with shared laughter, whispered conversations, and Peanut M&Ms he tried (and often failed) to sneak to them unnoticed. While the kids insisted he was a Gryffindor, Scott embodied the true spirit of a Hufflepuff: loyal, hardworking, patient, and steadfast.
He is also deeply mourned by Krystal Overway, who loved him as a father in every way that mattered and cared for him with unwavering tenderness throughout his illness. Scott held deep respect and affection for her son, Kaleb Overway, whose place in their lives meant a great deal to him.
Scott is further survived by his extended family, Patty Price and Joyce Price, who provided constant support and compassion to him and those who loved him.
A lifelong provider and dedicated worker, Scott lived intentionally and gave selflessly. He never sought recognition, choosing instead to make the world better in quiet, consistent ways that left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
In keeping with the family's wishes, no services are planned at this time.
Scott will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his gentle heart, steady presence, and the love he gave so freely.
