Shanon Fox

January 28, 1976 – May 27, 2026

On January 28, 1976, the world became a warmer place when Shanon Ray Fox was born in Youngstown, Ohio. A cherished son of the late Charlene Seeley and William Fox, Shanon grew into a man whose presence was as steady as the open road and as comforting as a home-cooked meal.

For many years, Shanon found his calling on the highway, working tirelessly as a CDL Truck Driver for R+L Carriers. But Shanon was a man of endless dreams and talents. Most recently, he poured his heart, soul, and flavor into a brand-new adventure, opening his catering business, "Sloppy Fox BBQ + More." It was his way of bringing people together and spreading joy through the universal language of good food.

To know Shanon was to know a man who truly understood what mattered in life. He found peace casting a line while fishing, navigating the woods hunting, and standing over a hot grill cooking for his friends and family. A familiar, smiling face in the community, he was also an avid pool player who brought his sharp eye and competitive spirit to many leagues throughout the week.

Shanon has been called home, leaving a void that can never be filled. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents and his two cherished nephews, Braiden Canter and Konner Fox.

His love lives on in the beautiful family he leaves behind. Shanon is survived by his daughter Emma (Bobby) Lockhart, his siblings; Frank (Lisa) Brenner, Dale (Angel) Fox, Christopher (Joni) Seeley, Penelope (William) Canter, and Jennifer (Jason) Shaw, and his nieces and nephews; Daniel (Alana) Fox, Hunter (Tylar) Fox, Deven (RayLynn) Fox, Hayley (Jonathan) Shaw, Brandon Ladigo, Kadence Canter, Cameron Seeley, Carmen Canter, Grant Seeley, and Nickolas Shaw. His memory will also be fiercely protected by an extended network of family and countless friends.

Shanon, the roads you traveled were wide, the fires you built were warm, and the love you left behind is eternal. Rest easy, chef.

To honor a man who loved nothing more than good food, great stories, and the company of his favorite people, a Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 28, 2026, 1-6 PM at the Lisbon VFW 210 East Lincoln Way, Lisbon, Ohio 44432.
