Shawn Lee Joseph Douglas 48 passed away January 12, 2023, at his Lisbon home while being held by his beloved, Ira. (Husband)

He was born on February 22, 1974 in Oil City, Pa., the son of Donna (Kalkbrenner) Douglas Peeples and the late Stanley Herbert Douglas.

He was an Operation Manager for a Florida Laundry Systems Co., Inc., in Oakland Park, Florida.

He grew up in Pennsylvania, graduated from Townville High School. He later moved to Missouri and then ended up in South Florida. Shawn Lived in Wilton Manors, Fl., with his husband for 28 years. He spent time with family at their North home (happy place) in Lisbon, Oh.

Shawn's family was very important to him. He would take his children on trips and make special memories. He loved cooking and baking, going on nature walks, and always loved pets. Shawn had a heart of giving back, helped the homeless with clothing and other needs. He loved to spend time with his husband and Family , watching TV, sitting, and having meaningful talks.

In addition to his mother of Salem, he is survived by his spouse, Ira Harold Gottlieb of Wilton Manors, Fla.,  And daughter Hailey Michelle Douglas of Wilton Manors, Fla., a sister Jennie Michelle (Jason) Smith of Salem, and four nieces and nephews.

He will be buried when the time comes that his husband passes at Eternal Light Memorial Gardens in Boynton Beach, Fla.
