IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Shirley Elaine
(Weingart) Braden
July 23, 1932 – September 27, 2024
Shirley Elaine (Weingart) (fka Daley) Braden 92, of Salem, died at 8:40 PM Friday, September 27, 2024 at Salem Regional Medical Center.
She was born on July 23, 1932, in Salem, the daughter of the late Herbert David and Lillian (Kempfer) Weingart.
She was retired from Warren Molded Plastics (Ventra) and became a home maker. She was a graduate of the East Goshen School, a former member of the East Goshen Friends Church and now at Salem First Friends Church. She loved to spend time with the grandchildren teaching them about cooking, canning, proper ways to pick blueberries, strawberries and finding wild berry patches. Shirley liked to go out and about and a good meal was a high point of her day. She always had a soft spot for her dogs over the years. Shirley was active in the church when she was able. If you were to stop by her home, you might hear the sounds of Elvis music being played while she and her lady friends were playing a good card game.
She is survived by her sons; Dan L. (Kathryn) Daley and Kelly Jon (Virginia) Daley of Salem, many grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Robert Randall Daley, sisters; Betty Malmsberry and Erla Lee.
Services will be on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, 4 PM, at Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services with the Rev. Pete Fowler of the church officiating. A time of visitation will be from 3:30 to 4 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in East Goshen Cemetery.
