Solomon Eric Merryman, 58, of Salem, died unexpectedly Wednesday, March 9, 2016. Solomon was born May 20, 1957 in Alliance, OH, a son of Mollie Harris Merryman and the late Beryl Merryman. he had lived in Clarksburg, WV. but had lived in this area most of his life. Solomon served in the U.S. Army; he loved spending time with his family, especially his grand kids, working on his cars, and enjoying good food; he enjoyed taking his loving pug, Rocky, for walks, and sharing his wisdom with those who loved him. In addition to his mother Mollie Merryman, he is survived by his children, his three birds, Angela (Moses) Mcintosh, Suzy Merryman, and Bruce (Melinda) Merryman; two sisters, Linda Kelly of Cuyahoga Falls, OH and Kathryn Merryman of Jane Lew, WV, and two brothers, Frank (Helen) of Houston, TX and Randy of Salem; his five grandchildren, Riley, Asher, Selah, Cadence, and Hosanna, numerous nieces and nephews, and his former wife and the mother of his children, Chieko A'be. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his nephew Michael Akers. Services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, Salem. A time of visitation will be held from Noon-2 PM Saturday at the funeral home. The burial will be in the Columbiana City Cemetery with full honors offered by the Salem Honor Guard.
