Susan Marie (Kastenhuber) Distelhorst 65, of Tybee Island, GA, (formerly of Salem and Columbus) died at 3:06 AM Friday, June 15 at her home following a sudden illness.

She was born on June 2, 1953 in Salem, OH, the daughter of Emma Louise (Loesch) Kastenhuber and the late Walter Joseph Kastenhuber.

She was a 1971 Graduate of Salem Senior High School. She had lived in Columbus from 1973 to 2013 and then moved to Tybee Island, GA. Susan was a confirmed member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church during her early years in Salem. She was currently working for a travel agency as the head of the reservations department. Susan enjoyed the ocean while living on the island. She loved to decorate especially her mother's condo in Salem. Susan always liked to come back to Salem for family visits.

In addition to her mother of Salem, she is survived by her husband, Richard of Tybee Island, brother Steven Walter Kastenhuber, nephew Luke Steven Kastenhuber all of Salem and Tybee her beloved dog.
