Susan Lorraine (Krebs) Douglass 68, of Salem, passed away at 3:17 PM on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at the Caprice Health Care Center, North Lima, Ohio.

She was born September 26, 1956, in Salem, Ohio, the daughter of the late Harry and Lorraine (Ost) Krebs.

Susan was a 1976 graduate of Salem Senior High School and a lifelong resident of the area. She provided nursing care to the elderly, as an STNA at Essex in Salem. Susan loved life and lived hers to the fullest, enjoying concerts, camping, swimming, and reading. She greatly appreciated vacations to visit her friends in Texarkana. Susan's grandchildren were the light of her life, and she would spend as much time with them as possible. She was also happy for some downtime and played on her cell phone, iPad, or computer.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Leroy Douglass, whom she married August 6, 1977, children Mandy Sue (Brian) Bailey of Salem, OH and Timothy Richard (Kelly) Douglass of Washington, PA, siblings Robert Krebs of Liberty, OH and Sandy Eddinger of NC, grandchildren Tyler Bailey and Olivia Douglass and step-grandchildren Brandon and Samantha Bailey.

In addition to her parents Susan's brother Eddie Krebs preceded her in death.

A celebration of life service will be Tuesday, April 8, 2025, 5 PM at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services in Salem, with Pastor Kenny Cowdery officiating. A time for visitation will be 3-5 PM at the funeral home. Susan will be laid to rest at Hope Cemetery in Salem.

Following the services the family will welcome guests for a meal, at the Salem Elks at 6:30 PM.
