Susan (Zigler) Turner 65, of Salem, died at 11:30 AM Tuesday at Hospice House in Poland. She was born on October 27, 1949 in Alliance, Ohio, the daughter of the late Herbert and Shirley (Stuckey) Zigler. She retired in 2013 as a FAMS coach at Crestview Schools Dist. And Columbiana County Board of Education. She has also served as a curriculum Coordinator for Columbiana County, Adjutant Instructor at Kent State University and Akron Univ., An education coordinator with NNDS online school in Pa.,a member of ASCD and ORTA, an honorary member of the Leetonia Sportsman Club. She volunteered at the Hospice House and was loved by all she touched. She was a very good cook, loved to read and play Mahjongg and was a wonderful seamstress. She also enjoyed volunteering and helping folks at Hospice House. She was a member of the Church of the Brethren in N. Georgetown, Ohio. She is survived by her husband, Donald K. Turner whom he married on August 2, 1979, her step mother Betty Zigler of Beloit, two brothers, Daniel (Dawn) Zigler of Ill., and Michael (Barbara) Zigler of Beloit, a half sister Sondra Thomas of Canton, seven nieces and nephews. A services will be held on Saturday, 1 Pm at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, Salem. The Rev. Ronald W. Waters of the church will officiate.
