Thomas L. Boosz Sr., 74, of Salem, died at 11:14 AM Sunday, November 8, 2015 at Salem Regional Medical Center. He was born on October 4, 1941 in Canton, Ohio, the son of the late Harold and Priscilla (Evans) Boosz. He was a Salesman for Quality Truck Body, Myers Equipment and last drove for CARTS. He served in the Ohio National Guard. He was an avid bowler and a member of the Bowlers Hall of Fame. He was a follower of his grandchildren sporting events and was a state champion wrestler. He is survived by his children, Thomas L. (Sherri) Boosz of Salem and Melissa K. (Sam) Sacconi of Lisbon, four grandchildren, Sammi and Sunni Sacconi and Michael and Bailey Boosz. He is preceded in death by his wife on December 6, 2010, the former Marjorie A. Pettay, whom he married on September 29, 1963, and two brothers, Robert and Richard Boosz. The family is following the wishes of Tom that there be no services held. The family has requested that donations be made to the Cancer Care Center of Salem Regional Medical Center in Tom and Marjories memory.
