Todd Allen Thornhill 42 of Salem, passed away June 1, 2023 at Salem West Health Care Center.

He was born June 6, !980 in Columbus the son of Linda (Shilling) Minor and the late Carl Thornhill.

Todd was a resident of Salem for the past 2 years, coming from the Columbus area. When he was younger he played little league football and was active in VoAg. Classes in High School and graduated from McConnelsville Morgan High School in 1998.  After graduation he served in the Navy.  Todd worked for Geo Bostic Remodeling in Columbus, Ohio and was considered their right hand man. He enjoyed cooking, playing video games, and watching the Dallas Cowboys, and Ohio State football.  He lived with his grandmother in Columbus, and was her caregiver at the time of his accident.  Todd gave the ultimate sacrifice to push his girlfriend away from the oncoming car when he was hurt.

He is survived by his mother Linda and stepfather Robert Minor of Oak Harbor.  His children Leleah, Briana, and Elene Miyadai, of Japan, and James and Todd Thornhill II of Washington Courthouse. His siblings Donald Loper of Columbus, Stephanie Ghoring of Dunkin Falls, Catrina (Michael) Roberts of McConnelsville, Amber (Michael) Moore of N. Lexington. And his step-siblings Heidi Bell, and Carrie (Michael) Clouse-Dunn of Zanesville.

He was preceded in death by his father.

There will be no services at this time.
