Todd Charles Vadino 44, of Salem Twp., Leetonia died Sunday evening, June 21, of an accidental drowning at Willow Grove Park in Lisbon, while trying to save his son and another boy. He was born on December 2, 1970 in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of Charles John and Audrey Carol (Jenkins) Vadino. He had been employed at the Salem Senior High School as a Machines Trades teacher for the last 2 years. He had previously worked at Extreme Machine in Youngstown and Barclay Machine in Salem. A veteran of the US Navy from 1991 to 1995. He was a member of the Locust Grove Baptist Church, served as a Deacon. He was a 1989 graduate of South Range School, received his Teaching Certificate in May, 2015 from KSU and was on the Deans List, a journeyman Machinist, a member of the Wick Lodge # 481 F& AM, ATG in Lisbon, A Committee Chair of Boy Scout Troop # 2 and a Popcorn Coronal, His #1 thing in his life was his wife and children but would help anyone in need, loved to camp, loved motorcycles, kayaking, guns, and anything outdoors. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, the former Tamantha "Tammy" Sue Carroll whom he married on June 15, 1996, his children, Blaine, Helena and Miranda Vadino, a sister Karlene C. (Paul) Wetzel of Hubbard, Uncles Tom Moore of McDonald and Russell Jenkins of Mineral Ridge and Aunt Faye Morrison of Boardman. He was preceded in death by a son Garrett Todd Vadino. A Celebration of Life Service will be on Friday, 1:30 PM at the Locust Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Bob Noble officiating. The burial will follow in the church yard cemetery. The Salem Honor Guard will provide military honors at the conclusion of the services. A time of visitation will be held on Thursday from 1-3 and 6-8 PM at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, Salem, and one hour prior to the services at the church. Donations can be made to the Machines Trades at the Salem Senior High School.
