Virginia D. (bates) Ardinger 91, of New Waterford, died March 7, at her home in New Waterford. She was born on November 22, 1924 in Mississippi, the daughter of Joe Monroe and Elizabeth Virginia (Wood) Bates. She was a career school teacher in Florida and retired in the early 80's after 35 years of teaching government classes in the high school. She moved to Tenn., then to Ohio in 2010. She loved to paint, read and spend time with family. She was preceded in death by her husband Julias Ardinger in 1971. She is survived by her children, Elizabeth (Jerry) May of TN., Tracy Ardinger of Leetonia and Christopher P. (Wendy) Ardinger of New Waterford, a sister Sari Dothrow of ALA., five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She choose to have no services or calling hour held.
