Obituary

Warren S. Barnes 86, of Salem, died at 1:10 AM Wednesday at his home. Warren was a hard working devoted man to his family. He fought a good hard battle to the very end. He was born on December 3, 1926 in Ellsworth Township in Mahoning County to the late Oliver Perry and Mildred Janette (Cooper) Barnes Sr. He was an active member, trustee and usher of the Salem Church of God of the Abramhic Faith. He was employed over the years as a mechanic at Bare Farm Equipment, Dart Trucking Company for 20 years and last for Sam Mitchell in Greenford for 6 years. He was also a member of the Salem UCT # 590. He is survived by his second wife, the former Ileen Dishong whom he married on March 29, 1982, his children, Dave (wife Debbie) Barnes of N. Benton, Linda Beamer of Salem, step daughters Cindy (Companion Mel Nenadic) Barnes of Columbiana, and Sandy (husband John) Lucas of Columbiana, four grand children, one step grand child, six great grand children and two step great grand children. He is precedd in death by his first wife, the former Loretta Eddy whom he married on October 19, 1945 and who died in 1980, his siblings, Thelma Hunt, Anna Mae Gonda, Mildred Roeder, Mary Molly Barnes, Margaret Cooper, David, Lee and Oliver Barnes. Services will be held on Saturday, 11 AM, March 9, 2013 at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral Home, the Brothers Kim Bergman and Ray Luxeuil will officiate. The burial will immediately follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery near Greenford. A time of visitation will be observed on Friday from 6 to 8 Pm and from 10 - 11 AM Saturday.
