Wayne O. Nutter 81, of Akron, died Saturday, March 16, 2024.
He was born in Marlington, West Virginia, the son of Stephen B. and Sylvia (Cowan) Nutter.
He was a machinest at Karg Corporation in Tallmadge and a member of Hartville Wesleyan Methodist Church. Wayne was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather. He had a remarkable love for his wife and family. He loved spending time with the grandchildren. A very big people person, liked to talk and visit with others. He most recently enjoyed going to church and listening to christian music. The outdoors was where he was quite happy, fishing, camping, traveling around the United States. Wayne liked to feed the birds over the years. He was thankful for his faithful friend, Keith Williams who kept his feeders filled and the close friendship with his fellow workers and neighbor Leonard Borden. Wayne had an appitite for snacks, as long as peanut butter was in it. He was a lover of dogs and always had a four legged companion by his side.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Harbarger) Nutter, children: Wayne C. (Crystal) Nutter, Phillip A. (Lynne) Nutter and Beverly A. (Todd) Ewing, and grandchildren: Jeffrey (Megan Blaho) Nutter, Melissa (Charles) Reddington, and Michael, Matthew, Heather, and Rachel Ewing and 2 great grandchildren: Robin and Rowan Reddington, siblings: Naomi Sonenstahl, Rachel Gammiere and Paul (Judy) Nutter.
Also preceded by a sister Zelma Skavenski.
Services 2 PM, Saturday, March 23, 2024, Bethany Mennonite Church (3497 Edison Street NE., Hartville, Ohio 44632) Rev. John Troyer and Joseph Smith officiating. A time of visitation will be from noon to 2 PM Saturday at the church.
