William Albert Smith 79, of salem, died at 4 AM Thursday at Essex of Salem # 3. He was born on July 2, 1936 in Harrisburg, Pa., the son of the late Walter and Gladys (Wolford) Smith. He was a graduate of Leetonia High School, Served in the US Army, and was a carpenter by trade. He had attended the former Leetonia Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife, The former Lila June Libert, whom he married on September 12, 1965, his son John Leonard (Cherie Ann) Smith of Salem, two grandchildren and four great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Helen Louise Clark. There will be no services held.
