Obituary

Wilma Lois (Jones) Janowiak 85, of Salem, died at 6:55 AM Wednesday at Blossom Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Salem. She was born on January 31, 1931 in Butler Twp, Salem, Ohio, the daughter of the late George Washington and Olive Mae (Gardner) Jones. She was a 1949 graduate of Leetonia High School, and worked for Art's Jewelery Store and Electric Furnace Company. She was mainly a home maker and took care of raising her children. She met her husband, Bill while she served in the US. Air Force, and married on March 9, 1951. She was a Corporal in the military and served from April 21, 1950 to April 27, 1951 during the Korean War. Wilma was quite a lady, but lived for her children and grandchildren. I don't think anyone who knew her would question her desire of a clean house. She was so special to the family, and enjoyed shopping, sowing, crocheting, and ladies bowling league at Timberlanes. She loved to go fishing with her father when she was younger and every Saturday night, go out to eat. She is survived by her husband William Janowiak, her children, Mark Janowiak of Salem, Kim (Anthony) Clark of Lisbon and Jennifer Burnham of Leetonia, her grandchildren, Joshua (Allyson) Graybeal, Niki (Adam) Looman, Tori (Andy) Whitehead, Steven Burnham, Brea Moore, Amanda Burnham, and Meredith Boyle, her great grandchildren, Payne and Pierce Graybeal, Adam and Marisa Looman, Ryder Whitehead, Katie Crohn, and Nora Boyle, and a sister June Snyder of North Lima. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Ida Goddard, Alice Ozenghar, Lorene Diehl, Bernice Groves, Ruth Stoddard, Arthur Jones, Ferne Belzano, Glenn Jones, Lea Jones, Virginia Cox, and Gayle Jones. The family has requested private services and burial at Grandview Cemetery. The Salem Honor Guard has been requested to perform full honors and a service at the cemetery for the family. Professional Services of Comfort were Entrusted to the care of Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, Salem. Please sign the guest book at www.apgreenisenfh.com
