Winnifred Neikulani (Aki) Curtis 80, of Salem, died at 11:27 PM Friday at Salem Regional Medical Center. She was born on September 2, 1934 in Molokai, Hi., daughter of William and Anna Wahinealii (Kaiahua) Aki. She retired from Copeland Oaks as a cook in 2006, attended the Faith Chapel Fellowship. She has been a resident in Salem since 1966. She enjoyed her bingo and Mountaineer Casino. Winnifred is survived by her children, Leeanne Christine Kuulei Austin of Salem, Linda Lisa Curtis of Cape Coral, Fla., Letitia Mei Pollock of Cleveland, Livia Lei (Robert) Tanner of Huntsville, Ala., Lahi Leilani (Eric) Bonar of Homeworth, Raymond Jay Curtis of Salem, Charlene June (Christopher) Docherty of Millersville, Md., Carmen Christine Curtis of Cape Coral, Fla., Carl Clayton (Jill) Curtis of Tallmadge, and Chad Clifton Curtis of Salem, siblings, Anna Newsom, Emily Swava, William Aki. Abraham Aki, Mahiki Lankford, all of Hawaii, Nani Street of Washington State, 22 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren She is preceded in death by a son Cletis Ray Curtis Jr, grandson Jacob David Curtis, and brother Wilfred Aki. Winnifred's Services will be held on Friday, December 19, 2014, 1 Pm at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, Salem. The Rev. Larry Paxson of the church will officiate. The burial will be in Damascus Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held on Thursday from 5 to 7 Pm and on Friday from noon to 1 Pm.
