Bonnie Ann McCloskey, known affectionately as Bonnie, passed away on November 8, 2023, in Salem, Ohio, at the age of 62.
She was born on May 17, 1961, in Cleveland, to the late Fred and Iris (Toothman) McGuire.
Bonnie will be fondly remembered for her captivating blue eyes and infectious smile. She possessed a green thumb and had a talent for nurturing plants back to health. Her rose bushes and other plants were always vibrant and abundant. Bonnie had a passion for hiking and exploring the trails of various Metroparks, especially those featuring waterfalls, which she adored. Photography was more than just a hobby for Bonnie; it was her true passion. Her adventurous and playful spirit shone through in her photographs. Above all, Bonnie cherished her family deeply, and her love for them knew no bounds. Whenever you spot a butterfly fluttering by, know that it is Bonnie saying hello.
She is survived by her children, Krystyna Shannon of Ashtabula, Kaitlynn McCloskey of Ravenna, Kian McCloskey of Ashtabula, and Killian McCloskey of PA. Bonnie is also survived by her siblings, Betty McGuire of California and Freddie McGuire of Cleveland, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Linda Myers and Kimberly Gilchrist, and her parents, Fred and Iris (Toothman) McGuire.
A Celebration of Life in honor of Bonnie will take place on December 2, 2023, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at The CanalWay Center, located at 4524 E. 49th St. Cuyahoga Hts., Ohio 44125. Additionally, a balloon release will be held at The CanalWay Center at 1:30 PM on the same day.
Arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Greenisen family at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services of Salem, located in Salem, Ohio.
