Carol Hosler Obituary

Carol Ann (Jackson) Hosler 80, of Calcutta (formerly of Wellsville and Harrisburg, Pa) died at 6:45 PM Thursday, July 22, 2021, at East Liverpool City Hospital.

She was born on May 3, 1941, at home in Wellsville, daughter of the late Joseph Leonard and Mildred Helen (Wagner) Jackson.

Carol was born and raised in the area, a 1959 graduate of Wellsville High School. She later ended up moving to Harrisburg, Pa., living with her husband Terry and working as a clerk for the US Postal Service. Carol had decided to move back to be close with her family about 15 years ago. Her new home in Calcutta was just perfect for her. She was able to go out and garden around the house, and able to bring family and friends over to spend time together. It was not uncommon to pay a visit to her and hear one of her favorite country music artists playing, or the Amazon truck dropping off a good deal she found to buy. One other special thing to her was to watch God’s animals and all the birds that he created.

Carol is survived by her daughters, Sherry K. (Jeff) (fka Laneve) Saddler of Cecil Pa., and Debra (Mark) (fka Hosler) Chiappette of Johnston, Pa., eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren, siblings Raymond Jackson of Wellsville and Marilyn Sue (Wayne) Boley of Lisbon as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Terry Hosler whom she married in 1980 and died in 2003, siblings Donald Jackson and Peggy Kelly.
